ASP is defined as Active Server Pages. ASP runs inside Internet Information Services (IIS) but PHP is defined as Pre Hypertext Processor. PHP is a server-side, cross platform, HTML scripting language. The sentence structure of PHP is almost synonymous to C and Java.
